It's 11:00, and I have to be up at 5:30 for work, but I can't sleep. I've been in bed for an hour now. Fuck.

STEPPED RELAXATION. DO IT. okay. lay supine. breathe comfortably and rhythmically, not too deeply as to be distracted. start at your toes, clencing your muscles as hard as you can on the inhale, relaxing them fully on the exhale. do this until you've intentionally and forcefully relaxed every muscle in your body, then just start focusing on the shape your breath makes as it enters and exits. only think about your breath.

Oh my god, I have a presentation to do Tuesday night and both me and my partner have procrastinated on it like mad. I REALLY just don't want to work on it right now.

My paper-writing skills are actually pretty decent, unlike my internettin' posts. But I fucking hate writing papers. Anyway, I gave up this semester. I'll retry next time.

So, after having my life all changed up in the last month, I am officialky back to feeling like I was a couple of years ago. Say seven years ago. Meaning: fun times going out and getting drunk, creativity, meeting people but also anxiety, fear and lack of responsibility.

Let's see if we can turn this somewhere better than what happened last time.

Last time I felt like that, I met a girl, was engaged after thirteen days, married in two months, divorced in five months.

What a crazy time.

I'm crushed by this nearly overwhelming sense of insignificance. Not just in myself, but in life as a whole. I guess I just feel disconnected from this life, if it makes any sense. I guess it's part of the depression/anxiety manifesting in Dissociation, just in this case, it's a generalized derealization of the value of life, not in a suicidal way, though. Normally I find the insignificance empowering, but today it's just dreadful.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm the only on who knows it, too. Like Haulden Caulfield calling people and things "phony", in a sense.

I probably just need to get to bed earlier tonight. :\
