Looking for a small tremolo pedal...
Can anyone think of any? I would like it to be a fairly small pedal (BOSS size or less?) with a blinking LED, at least a rate and depth knob (and a rate knob I can easily move with my foot at that), and a way to change the waveform between harder and softer? And under 150, preferably less. I've had a Lovepedal Babyface that sounded perfect but I wanted a blinking LED and an easier to reach depth knob. So far, the Fulltone Supa Trem seems to fit the bill pretty well but it's a bit pricier and a little bigger than I'd like. From everything I've looked at, nothing has all of these!

This the closest thing to what you're asking for, which is a pretty high standard actually

I know. I'm being picky. That one is a maybe too. I have the Malekko vibrato and it might be my favorite pedal I've ever played. But the knobs are a little hard to turn with my feet but that one might work. I am also getting a Malekko BIT soon too and I don't know if that would be too much Malekko on my board, everyone deserves a chance.

If that's it, than maybe you can get a kick disk?
That why i liked the tremolessence, it has exp. jacks for rate and depth. that really is the best trem you could ever get, and if you wait until your birthday here on ilf you can get it for a discounted 200, which isn't that much more. Or go on prymaxe and enter a coupon code.
And I wasn't trying to call you out or anything, I was just saying that it's worth noting the possibility that those standards can't be met :dk:

The best one would be Dr. Scientist Tremolessence but it's more than 150$.

I also had a Polypus once but something was wrong with it since the day I got it and there was absolutely no way to accurately control the speed. I got a refund for it.
And wsas3, I use Prymaxe for almost every pedal I get. They're great. And great sales.

Re: Looking for a small tremolo pedal...
i have the Menatone and like it quite a lot. i bought it because i needed the blinking LED feature to synchronize with delays and loops. it has a nice range of triangle to square wave, does mechanical chop and swampy throb equally well, and is tonally neutral...it doesn't have the nice warm tubey quality of some trems intended to emulate Fender amplifier trem, but it also doesn't color the tone in the same way as the Polypus.

Re: Looking for a small tremolo pedal...
I had the Copilot Polypus and Menatone Pleasure Trem 5000. Atfter hours of A-B ing the two, I chose the Menatone. The Polypus was more versatile, but the Pleasure Trem sounded much better and does the hard chop sound I was looking for. Got mine used for about $100 and it has a relatively small footprint with top mounted jacks.

Re: Looking for a small tremolo pedal...
the Hummingbird is a boss little piece of work (no pun intended). its drawback is that it only does the square-wavey Vox-style trem. it does it so nicely that i'd buy it anyway if it had the ability to vary the pulse width the way you can on the Vox for the Spacemen 3 effect.

Re: Looking for a small tremolo pedal...
So far, the Menatone looks like the one. Can it get a nice bounce in between square and triangle? I'm also wondering about the VFE Old School but from the looks of a couple other forums, quite a few people have a few problems. Again, the Suhr Jack Rabbit looks nice but it's a little more expensive. On another note, since it is fairly large, the Young Pedals' The Looker sounds amazing. I can't decide if I want a more vintage tubey sounding trem or a modern one, mostly because I don't really know the difference. I've heard the tubey ones give more warmth but you can't really hear a difference on youtube. But I know I really liked my Lovepedal Babyface but wanted a few more options to it.
