moogaudio.com has the Dwarfcraft versions on liquidation
http://www.moogaudio.com/advanced_searc ... q5&x=0&y=0
230$
but double check they have it in stock before sending off your money (website isn't always 100% up to date).
they'll be honest and treat you right either way.
now posting as Forrrest.

Yeah. Manglers are fun and nasty piece of rawk noisy fuzz! Haven't tried a Dream Mangler but I really, really like the Synth Mangler and the Bit Mangler is just :omg:

There's a lot of different crazy flavors in the Manglers ...and I agree with dialing the sounds with a joystick, just as with photo eyes and moving light onstage, NOT sounding exactly the same the next day is half of the charm  And with the joystick You can make it a central noise instrument in the pedalboard worship solos.

I use this as an opportunity to show off a bit (pun not intended)... modded by ILFs own St :animal:

Whoa sex.

What was done to it? You make me want to poke around my Dream Mangler.

Oh and yeah, I recently obtained a Dream Mangler and it ousted my Spectacular Aenima for noisey fuzz purposes. There's just so much texture to be had, from the VFM solo'd and cranked as high as it can go into screechy octave range, the DF's punky synth trash, the VFM's lower-gain smoove vvvff tone, with just the two engaged the joystick gives ultimate EQ control. And then of course there are the noise switches and once you hit one of them it all just goes to hell.

I think one of my favorite sounds is the DF's synth-edge into the Earthbound Supercollider. The DF's tendency to cut bass is kind of completely negated and it just turns into this insane soaring synth grind enveloped in the Supercollider's overtly pillowy bass doom, the sound of the bass guitar definitely a distant memory at that point.

A mangler's best friend is some lush analog delay, I am finding.

Also - The Eternal Battle Against Master Control. <3 <3 This collection of pedals will always be awesome. One of the coolest things Devi has done.

so You think but then again, ILF IS, after all, a pedal flippers heaven. Oh, and Stan's called the dibs already. But who knows.

See the original thread about it here:
http://ilovefuzz.com/ucp.php?mode=login

St :animal: modded it, the left side splits the Bit into pieces, and there's BIT/GZ switch. And on the right side there's the SM/VFM extra switch. Both sides have a starve control of their own - making a big difference in the fuzz devastation flavor.

Stan made one YOutube demo of it, though it doesn't present much of the noisy side, here You go:

Sounds like You enjoy Yours, I really like the use this as a noise synth. Delay is great, also modulation. You get also a whole spectrum of nasty noises from starving the crap out of the circuit and THEN giving it a huge boost (like a Fuzzhugger Hugger both pre a boosts on full blast) to kick it back alive from untimely low voltage death. Makes brutal octaves up and down and stating power noise velcro ripping.

:hello: :animal: IF YOU MAKE SOME crazy mods to Your Dream Mangler, I might be interested in trading. Just to try different shit out.
