While I have no interest in purchasing this pedal at all, I don't believe it bares any resemblance to the Fuck in anyway whatsoever. The Fuck is similar to the Cornish NG-2 in that they intend to accomplish the sound of an overdriven amp on the verge of going all to shit. The website for this particular pedal suggests it's sound to be that of a guitar that is broken. I don't really get this, but that is what it says. Seems to just be a boosted sporadic/random tremolo effect that is to be added on to your already distorted signal.
The blown out sound on the fuck isn't an on the verge of going to shit amp sound.. It's like wayy beyond gone to shit. I mean you can dial it in to be mild but it typically sounds completely fucked (in the burst mode).
The fuck is actually capable of sounding amazing in a more conventional way though and this thing just sounds muddy and crappy. Well.. Based on the 3 seconds of lame demo they gave us anyways..
It could be the European version of the Alpha Drive ruckus! Scowling Dutchmen* in windmills and trenchcoats instead of overweight sweaty guys surrounded by uncomfortable women.
* I have no idea if they're Dutch (or even European), just go with it.
Considering I play my fuck mostly clean, I doubt this thing could coax those sounds. BUT, I will say it sounded more fuzzy in an aggressive way in the standard fuzz mode. And more consistent and tremoloy/choppy than the fuck in fuck mode. Didn't sound terrible though, but yar no fuck killer.
That said, I'm guessing they'll be asking $400 a pop for this earth shattering idea they came up with. With absolutely no help from teh internetz or Brian. Sheer genius idea that just came to them.

The demos on their website suggest that the distortion sounds are coming from either an overdriven amp or another dirt pedal. Whatever sounded muddy to you is most likely not the pedal itself.
And while I don't own the Fuck pedal, I have used it. It seemed to me that the sag or "burst" feature is one that intends to emulate the sound of an overdriven amp that has a tube or two that is getting ready to blow. The clutching and compression represent similar symptoms. I have destroyed a couple of older tube amps by playing to loud for far to many hours, and yes, these are the holy sounds that are almost impossible to recreate otherwise.
