Fairfield Circuitry Tourbox

Post by fairfield »

ILFers,

I'm considering starting a tourbox for our line of pedals. Here's what I'm wondering...

Are you guys interested?

How does a tourbox usually work?

Do people prefer a patched up pedalboard?
or loose pedals to plug and play as desired?

I already have the Unpleasant Surprise and Four Eyes... I ordered a Barbershop two days ago and waiting for Randy's Revenge.
So no tourbox for me, but I'm interested to see what other ILFer think of those awesome pedals.

Everyone will be psyched. Awesome.

That's just very awesome of you, Guillaume.

(Somehow, it's appropriate that sylnau is the first to respond to this thread.)

I'm so down. And usually it's just a box of loose pedals. A full board would be far too much work for you, since you're the gracious host and all. Plus, a bitch to ship.

Loose (but well packed) pedals is the best way...that way people can use a medium flat rate box to ship.

I would love to be part of a fairfield tourbox :thumb:

Collect names, addresses, phone numbers, emails...multiple ways to get in contact with those involved.
People sometimes "flake out" during these tours, and the boxes vanish for month(s) when not enough info is collected.
It's not much to ask considering the good faith you are putting in by sending out your wares free of charge.

If you need any help coordinating/running the list I can assist.

Schweet! Id only need to try out the 4 eyes and barbershop though. can we choose the pedals to try out or would it be all of them?
Chankgeez wrote:True, but you can also use the Klon as a tremolo. Just stomp on the switch as fast or slow as you'd like.

I'm very interested. I also have a decent video set up, and can make demos of these pedals.

Usually one person collects contact information on everyone and determines the order (geographical proximity, generally) and you determine the amount of time with each pedal. And ship them separately so that its easier to package, and we can integrate the pedals in our respective boards.

If you're willing to ship to the uk i'm down. Had a four eyes and loved it, randy's on order, but I really want to try the rest and try a four eyes with an expression pedal now I have one.

I think loose pedals is more convenient for everyone, especially for shipping costs.
