should I trade my pedals for a gretsch?
Should I trade a ef 13 tbd, supuku mind warp and moogerfooger ring mod for a gretsch historic series hollowbod guitar? It is red with a black pic guard. It looks and plays well. I am supose to trade tomorrow. Would you do it?

Totally love the cuts/holes on those, I just have a hard time jiving with a red guitar. Definitely seems fair though, HSC included? They do go for about $500 on the used market, so you have to decide if the ring mod, sepuku, and TBD have devalued that much in your opinion, thats about $500 as well used.

is it the 3150 (no Bigsby, chrome hardware) or the 3155 (gold hardware and stock Bigsby)? the 3155 has a more Gretsch-standard wiring setup with the master volume on the upper bout and is worth more. given the current market for pedals i think a good 3155 would be a fair trade, though i personally would be hard-put to give up all three of those boxes if i had them; you'd probably be losing value on a 3150 (the only comparable recent eBay guitar i can find sold for $450) but if it's a guitar you groove with that's OK, right?

It's the one with no bigsby. I think I am going to do it. If I do, I know I will keep the guitar forever. I think the guitar will be worth lots more then the pedals 20 or 30 years from now. Plus it will be cool to give my son his "dads old gretsch" then "some pedals" when he gets older.
