Offset Brotheren.... What do you think of this Jazzy?

So, I found a Jazzmaster that I was considering picking up.

The description:

"this guitar is a jazzmaster it has a strat neck and jazzmaster body with p 90 pickups nice neck and great sound. the neck is fender strat the pickups are stock fender the body is made of alder wood nice tone"

Now, that all sounds good or whatever, but in looking at the body of the guitar, the output jack is on the bottom of the guitar. I don't think I've come across a Jazzmaster with a bottom output jack. Do you think it's not a Fender?

Looks weird to me too. Aren't Jazzmaster bodies more contoured than that?

Yeah, there's something strange about that body. The proportions aren't right. I don't like the looks of it.

looks like a chinese knock off....a very bad one at that.

i would be scared due to the description being so wrong. the person selling it doesn't seem to know very much about guitars and is repeating what they were told (or lead to believe).
that's a fake fender logo...those are not fender pickups and it's obviously not a jazzmaster body....yea it's a bad copy of a jazzmaster body, but they don't say that do they?

it is appealing in a "ha ha" type way but i'd approach with caution.

the neck might be a Mexican Strat neck--it's hard to say given the photo--but IMO the closest the rest of that guitar has ever been to Fender is being loaded into an automobile. the body silhouette and staggered switches on the upper bout are a copy of some European 60s model i can't recall right now (Eko?). even the trem is visibly non-Fender; the contour of the plate is wrong, and it's not branded.

I messaged the dude and told him it was unlike any jazzmaster I'd ever seen and that led me to believe that it wasn't actually a fender. We will see if I get a response

it looks kinda like a maton body meets jazzmaster electronics and shit. I mean, if it's cheap and feels good, get it!
