Tone Factor is NOT closing!!!! Nine Volt rises to power...

Post by hclapp219 »

Tone Factor has been bought by Tomokaz Kawamura, the owner of Nine Volt, a Japanese effects store. More info here http://www.effectsdatabase.com/news/20120525

Sucks big-time. Placed an order for a Frazz and a Sea Machine right before the Easter weekend, and it was posted within an hour, and should be here in Australia tomorrow or the next day, for a very reasonable postage cost. Anyone else who doesn't live in the US will understand how rare that is.

Fantastic service, great prices, great YouTube demos, am sad to see them go so soon after having discovered them.

Meanwhile, an unnamed online store (no, not Fuzzhugger!) won't answer my emails about an order, going on two weeks now. :(
Good deals with: PumpkinPieces, maz91379, allicio, nelsinian, tomlane95, casperh7, insubordination, bronzetalon

 Seriously? Tom's always pulling all kinds of bullshit. ;)

This is bad news. Brad is a supercool dude... offered me a few discounts here and there on items for being a frequent customer. Did lots of neat exclusive stuff, too.

Sorry to hear it. Go buy some Tonefactor jank!

i'm very sorry to hear this. i've always been fond of TF because i bought my first Fuzzhugger from them when Tom discontinued the Phantom Ring. they've always been great to me, and have always had a great selection. it's a loss to the community, and i hope the TF folks will be all right.

Yep sucks...they were the finest purveyors of the opiate we call "pedals".
Sometimes I'd order stuff and it would be in the mail within hours...awesome for impulse buys

Looking forward to the new Mojohand stuff that's coming out...if you love tonefactor, continue to support brad by buying mojohand :thumb:
