That's what I heard too, but I would think that would be the size of a timeline, this one is the size of the rest of their stuff. I'm thinking this is a phaser.
There's a snake in my boots. Someone poisoned the waterhole!
I'm not sure if I'd really want a Strymon phaser. I LOVE my El Cap but I had their Ola chorus and my Cosmichorus is better. I might just prefer to stick with analog stuff for that type of effect too..
But I'm open minded and I love Strymon so I'm excited to see what this is

The Flint - Stone phaser theory seems legit. Now I'm not sure if I should wait for this (knowing my luck it'll be months before one is available for order due to TGP nerds) or the Faye Sing...dammit.
If they ever do a Pitchfactor multi-effect thing (a la the Timeline) I will shit my pants and be FIRST ON DAT LIST.

i was thinking it was a dirtbox, or fuzz, but if strymon were doing that, it would NEED a 90's setting on the date toggle switch. fuzzes don't normally have intensity, so it would seem like its a modulation effect.
so far we know that it has an expression pedal, dual outs, the upper right knob is Mix and the upper left knob is Intensity, the right toggle is 60's 70's and 80's. the lower right knob has a letter with a round bottom that could be a C,G,O, or Q which might be a gain, output, or grit controll (most likely output, it looks more like an O to me) and there is probably a speed knob somewhere, and the other toggle controlling waveform
i think its a phaser, but the font style is throwing me off, as well as the color. they generally have stuck to the language of pedal colors when it comes to their mod effects (purple flange, blue chorus, etc.) but the WTDP blurred out text underneath the name of the pedal usually says the effect. and unless its a Phase Modulator, Distortion fits the length more than Phaser. but im sticking with phaser

Talk to me about why the Cosmichorus is superior. I have and love the Ola, but...you never know what you're missing out there.
i can't see it being a distortion with one large knob labelled "INTENSITY" and the other labelled "M***," which by process of elimination means it has to be a phaser if it's something new to Strymon: i can't see them making a big deal out of a trem/vibe, and there were no "60s" envelope filters. logically the 60s/70s/80s toggle would then be a 2/4/8 or 4/8/12-stage switch.
every page of the Gear Page thread i read is taking at least 2 points off my IQ. by the time i'm done i'll be dumb enough to be comfortable. thanks!
