ILF cover collection album?

Post by theavondon »

Ever just felt like recording a cover of something? I did that yesterday, and it was a really liberating thing. I recorded a cover of "A Forest" by The Cure.

SO, I think we should do a comp of just random covers? Anybody else down? I think it would be really fun.

by posting in this thread, you are agreeing to cover something, this is an explicit e-contract you cannot break without legal recourse.

I recorded this in 2008. It was kinda fun listening to it. Not my best work from that period, but kinda cool. My vocals have definitely improved since then. I'd redo them right now if I hadn't lost my voice this week. Since I know I won't have time to do anything new (still haven't tackled the Bowie one), I'll throw this in:

That was awesome! My mom used to sing this song to me while going around the grocery store when I was 3.

My band did a handful of covers for an 80's benefit show.

This was our closer, though this is a recorded rehearsal that I added an extra guitar to.

This was after about 2 rehearsals of the tracks... and by this time we already hated the covers, lol. We never cared enough to do an actual recording... so this is the only record of the covers we have, lol.

I am so in! Going to finish up/completely change the version of Neil Young's 'Campaigner' I started a while ago. Should be done in a couple of days.
