More specifically the Arizona Stronghold Mangus which is 71% Sangio, but it's delicious.

Cigar box guitar is clamped and drying.
Now that I have a basic understanding of how to go about doing it, the next instrument will be more unusual.

First practice with the new band (tentatively called Plastic Pianos, assuming I can talk them out of the "The". Seriously, who names their band "The *somethings*" these days?) went well. We worked on three song ideas that came together really solidly for what we have of the songs so far. Our goal is to have 4-5 originals and a cover down well so we can start looking for gigs. Unfortunately none of us have ANY connections in Milwaukee, nor really any idea of how to find any apart from bumming around the Borg Ward.

FUCKING THAT'S WHAT "THE" FACEBOOK IS FOR.

Re: Not Nameing bands "The" something. Take a page out of Henry Rollins book,...he pioneered that shit nearly a decade ago.

It's "Rollins Band" you dicks.

pah, San Francisco bands pioneered that when Henry was still in grade school. it wasn't "The" Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service. etc. For that matter, it wasn't "The" Buffalo Springfield. 1966.

Its certainly not new, but the "the" (no not The The) just feels old to me. That and I don't want to have some arbitrary punctuation or misspelling that will just confuse people. It should be simple, easy to remember, and hard to misunderstand. :idk:

I really was pulling for Utility Belt but I guess some people might think it's too "heavy" or "industrial" sounding.

OH MY GOD THAT'S FUCKING GENIUS BAND NAMES FROM THE VENTURE BROS ARE AWESOME (YES THAT WAS A REFERENCE TO MECHA SHIVA)

Although I'd feel like a hypocrite since the bassist texts me five times a day with band names from Mr. Show. Mr. Show is awesome, but you could easily watch an episode and come up with 20 names but you could never settle on one.

I keep hearing how awesome Mr. Show is.

I like David Cross,...so I should probably watch that some time.

But yesh,...Mecha Shiva has talked about doing projects with guest musicians, and our Drummer is like "Mecha Shiva and Friends" and I'm all like that's dumb hippy jamband shit like Phil and Phriends and Dave Matthews and Friends.

I'd like to go with

The Nozzle

but not quite sure if I done gave it away,...or it that would even be viable with the other bandmates.

We could do Mecha Shiva All Stars,...then have our guitarist OD on heroin and replace him and shit.

My band just landed a show with some french shoegaze black metal-y band Alcest. I don't really know how we fit the bill, but, fuck it. RAD.
