You're nitpicking. It's slightly more affordable. I believe I paid $325 for mine and that was a couple years ago. How is $300 really not less than $325?
now i've got "SPERM BANK" going in my head to the tune of "Car Wash." complete with socially inappropriate background vocals and lots and lots of porno wah-wah guitar. did you know that in his declining days, before he ODed, Mike Bloomfield made his crust doing porno soundtracks?

Not to mention added functionality.
"The FREQ control now offers a wider range and is appropriately weighted for better control of desired frequency. The low-pass filter is now voltage controllable via the CV/EXP input. Micro switches located inside the pedal allow the user to customize the function of the CV/EXP jack.
In short, access is given to either voltage controllable parameters (oscillator frequency and low-pass cutoff frequency) as well as the possibility of using the oscillator output to control other devices. " 250 is a very good price.

dubkitty wrote:well, yeah, but when you have no job a $25 price cut doesn't help a lot.
Oh, I feel for you, dubkitty.
Guillaume never said it would be a substantially lower price. How much did you expect 'em to go for? I thought they might retail for $250 - $275, but $250's not a bad introductory price. You'll be able to pick one up for less than $300 when someone flips theirs. You'll get one sooner or later, your unemployed status is just temporary.

Damn that sounds great
Crossing my fingers for an exp. control for the blend as well
yeah, i was hoping for $250, but it's the only real quibble. if i was working i'd be right there in the queue with everyone else. and the added functionality with the expression pedal can only be more fun. i'm dying to hear what folks have to say/hear demos as to whether the sound is as delightfully musical as the original RR, which was the only ring modulator i've ever been tempted to accuse of sounding "pretty."

lol now I'm hearing that too.
Honestly if someone asked me to do porn soundtracks and they'd pay alright I'd probably do it. It's not like you're a pornstar or anything. You're just the wakka wakka nnst nnst guy..
some webcomic made the point about how porn music is the ultimate ambient noise. it's constant loops that never really get in the way of the ACTION on screen.
