Yea my board is dead (sold like 1/2 off). I'm waiting for Brianss/bs and MTLASM to revamp it.

I only have an acoustic, and am selling a ZT Lunchbox at the moment.
I have no idea what is going on.

Well, I've got a Arc Effects Tremolo and Swollen Pickle I'm not using anymore. I've though about purging it all down just a fuzz and a delay or two but it always makes me cry to think of how much money I'd lose.
I only have 3 amps total (Fender Frontman 15, Jet City 20, and a Hartke Bass Stack) and 8 instruments total. I have one guitar I'm think of getting rid of just because I've never gotten it to sound good.

Re: anyone else gear purged lately?
I'm strongly considering a pedal purge right now, I've realised that lately when I play half of the time I'm just fiddling with knobs and trying to find the sound I want. So I think that having a bunch of pedals is actually counterproductive to my creativity. I'm also trying to sell one of my acoustics right now, I thought about getting rid of one of my electrics too, but the one that I'd be willing to sell isn't worth nearly what I have put into it so I might as well keep it.

Slowly but surely, yes. Even sold a few things that fell under "I'll never sell this." Pedals are down to pretty much what's on my board (think I have 12 pedals now), and down to 3 amps, which I use all of pretty often. Got rid of all extra cabs and whatnot.

Re: anyone else gear purged lately?
I'm trying to get down from 30 pedals to just about 15-16.
Even then, I'm probably going to sell some of those to fund different purchases,
my eventual goal is to have a mainly custom effect board (when it comes to my dirt, anyway) of what I KNOW I want/need, and leave it at that. My UNICRON threw 4 pedals off my board... and with so much space left on my PRO... I managed to kick off 4 more pedals in general to get myself to the lower sized board. That's 8 pedals that went bye-bye in less than 2 days.
I've come to the same realization that I find myself twiddling knobs more than actually playing, and at shows, I'm spending more time tap-dancing than I should be (I also sing
)
Since basically widdling myself down to a couple dirt/fuzz and delay (with the option of a feedback loop!)... life has been simpler, I'm creating more, and I'm more confident in my playing.

I've been seriously neglecting my guitars over the past months and the sole reason I was at least rarely playing them, a Doom project, has been disbanded. If that doesn't improve I really should list at least 2 out of 4 guitars along with the pedals that I don't like on bass.

Got rid of a Blues Deluxe and GT-10 recently, just weren't being used. Let 'em go for pretty cheap too. Picked up quite a lot of what I want, have some cash aside for a fuzz and that Sonic Crayon glitch thing when it comes out and a slightly less densely populated living room out of it. Feels good!

This year i've been trying to slim down my pedalboard a bit but it's not going well. Pretty sure I have more than I started with...

Re: anyone else gear purged lately?
I'm still buying more pedals
I only (
) have one amp, two $150 guitars, a drone commander and my pedalboard. I'm still planning to add a few pedals, might sell a few...
I'm planning on moving into my own house this summer so I'll have a lot more room than in my tiny campus apartment. It's time to save up for more synth stuff (Moog Minitaur)

Re: anyone else gear purged lately?
I have been purging awesome pedals, in order to buy a couple of amazing ones. I had about 10 pedals not on my board. Most of them had to go. I had showdowns, got honest about my needs, what I will actually use, made some hard decisions and let them go. A couple will be bought again down the road, I can only afford what I am using for the most part. I have pretty demanding needs from my board. It needs to be able to do all forms of rock, metal, and electronica-ish stuff. I had pedals that were good for one or two sounds but didn't make it. I got rid of my Roland GR-55 and Gk-3b pickup because it was too much to incorporate for a few songs.
I have a few more still for sale, I may add another pedal or two. Plus my Eden 300T (300 watt tube head) may come up for sale. I am GASsing for a certain Orange ad200b. Probably going to sell my B.C.Rich Mockingbird bass as well for that Orange. Too Bad because I like that bass.

Finally mailed some stuff out today. I have a few more pending payments, but man, it feels good to be rid of stuff I won't really need much of... though don't get me wrong, I will STILL miss most of it
