Okay I'll bite. What's the extra jack on the side for?
Also for those curious about a Frazz on bass, my band just released a demo today with me playing it on the bass at the chorus. Jazz bass with flatwounds into Frazz into late 60s Traynor bass stack :

Input for an expression pedal... for the mix knob.

Oh shit. Can that be retrofitted on older ones? My Frazz is all on bass now and being able to fade from clean to fuzz would be mega-usefull.

Hey James, thanks again for posting that awesome song!
I'm afraid that mix exp jack requires the new soft touch switching enclosure, it's a big overhaul to the pcb to get it all to fit right and I can't stuff it into old ones, I'm sorry! I stole this off a car salesman, but hey, let's talk about getting you into a new model. *wink*

Makes sense and I'm just thankful the new song didn't come off as spammy, I just wanted to show yours and EQDs awesome pedals on bass and in song because while they sound great in isolation, they really come to life in a mix.
There may be something to that new pedal idea. I'm still playing quite a bit of guitar so I'm getting damn close to having separate bass and guitar boards. I've never been a guy to own 2 of the same thing, but the Frazz kind of deserves to be on each board.

Re: Frazz Dazzler Dec 2011
You know James, there's something about the new Frazz that I think you would dig.. the clean blend keeps the two signals in phase with each other so it sounds a lot smoother when you mix in the clean tone. All my previous versions had the wet signal out of phase and the clean blend wasn't as smooth and pleasant as it should be.
I think it's awesome you dig the Frazz in the mix, that's my goal with it too, that it cuts awesomely and grinds through. I think people who play in a band like the Frazz a lot more than people who don't.. I think it makes more sense with music around it.
