tremoloes, anyone know emoloes?

Post by phantasmagorovich »

hey friends,

I remember reading somewhere that one of the classic trem circuits (vox, colorsound, etc.) grows more choppy the higher the rate. This would be just what I want, more pulsing when slow, more chop chop when quick. But I can't seem to find the site that I read that on and I forgot which circuit it was. Does any of ou people know or notice something like this with his own trem? I think it was the vox repeat percussion but I am not sure about it. That one always seemed more choppy than others.

Weird, how can you put off buying something you want for so long just because you are afraid of opening up a whole new area of gas. This is my relation with tremolo.

Ah! Envy!

I may have slightly, slightly misunderstood the original point, but that is clearer now.

I have the same relationship with tremolo. I always think it'd be cool to have one but I never push the button to get one. I've always liked the pick sensitive tremolo mode on Devi's Rocket... saw the Pigtronix Tremvelope and was like "awesome!" but alas... I still have no tremolo.

I don't have much experience with trem, but I know the EHX Wiggler models after classic vibrato/trem circuits... maybe check that out?

Yeah, I just wanted to post that...but I use my VoxAC15CC!'s (from before this last redesign) tremolo circuit. I can't think of how it get's slow but with depth off the top of my head but high speed, high depth gets hella choppy. Like chorus to Anna Ng kind of choppy.

I think you may be looking for an "EA" style tremolo. :idk:
