Vin Accardi from Brand New is my all time favorite. Then right after him is Omar from Mars Volta, Dick Dale of the Del-Tones, and last but not least Akira Yamaoka. Boom.
Heavenly sounds, grating gates; driving cars through surreal fates.

i've grown quite fond of Nels Cline lately... as in "my new guitar hero" fond :D and he also looks like my grandpa used to (hence i might look similar when i'm older)

also my all time favourites include David Gilmour and Electric Tears-type stuff Buckethead

changed my way of playing forever :)

and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, but not really playing-wise, but in the way of encouraging me to use effects...

i really should have added Vini. and Joni Mitchell and David Crosby...their altered-tuning stuff has been an enormous influence, and i particularly love Joan's broad voicings on 12-string.
