Moving to Florida???

Well I am moving, but I want to move Florida. I was wondering where is a good area (want to move near Tampa or Orlando)?

well as someone living in florida i'd say don't come here

honestly tampa is more like a giant trailer park than a city, hah... good sports town though

and orlando CAN be fun.. but the whole disney thing is ever present and uber-annoying

if i could live anywhere in the state it'd probably be in Ft. Lauderdale, or actually more specifically Hollywood... its basically right inbetween Lauderdale and Miami, much calmer sort of vibe and a nice little downtown area, but close enough to all the big stuff that you're basically living in both cities without the hassle of either

the music scene still sucks ass though

what exactly are you looking for? what attracts you to FL over other places?

I have a friend in Hollywood.
Used to visit him once in a while.
Really nice town, close enough to the big city to go and have fun.

My X lives in Vero, the economy of that whole area got hit pretty hard, plus I understand the Dodgers are relocating their spring training to some where else.
It is close enough to the cape to watch shuttle launches, so I guess that's some thing.

Beach
and no more crappy winters in Maryland. Its beautiful but extremely boring if you not into drinking. (Maryland is turning in to the shipping port it once was with taxing by the government that make Obama look like a conservative).

The summers here in MD are almost unbearable. They've gotta be worse in Fla.
