Was a bit hesitant to try this one out, all the online demos I had seen only showed the extreme uses of the pedal. But after doing some reading and experimenting of my own, I've come to love this pedal. Without engaging the sequencer, you've pretty much got a fancy EQ pedal. But there is a nice little secret hidden in this pedal. When you turn the drive to max with the sequencer off, you've got a killer graphic overdrive. It's insane the amount of variations you can get out of the EQ section mixed with the drive.
PRO - TIP ! Have never thought of that. Will definitely be trying this out! Thanks man.

Yes and if yall are cereals you HAVE to get the CP-251, the forgotten Fooger bro... You can run your guitar or bass or anything through it and make sweet sickness... I use the s/h and the noise generator alot and the lag is awesome to lag other stuff... You can use the mixer and 4 way multi to split signals and the LFO is awesome controlling any pedal with an exp input... I use it to fade my Frazz Dazz in and out and also on the El Cap to make faded delays...

^ +1 for CP love for sure. A Flame Clockworks is also a really handy thing to have around with 'foogers.

My experience with moogerfoogers:
1) Phaser. It's awesome! It is so deep and mesmerizing, none other phaser sounds that good on bass. As for weird side with drive knob and fast speed you can get close to Copilot Orbit sound.
2) Ring Mod. Classical ring mod I'd say. Very clear, no annoying noise.
3) Low-pass filter. I wasn't impressed. Xerograph works much better for me.

skullservant wrote:Another cool thing you can do with the ring mod is patch it in to itself and make a sweet analog oscillator. Patch the carrier output into the input, and then the LFO output into the pitch CV in. It can go from deep and fat to squeaky and thin, with the ability of making a square wave oscillator or a triangle wave oscillator which is really neat.
Doing this tonight.
I've had my ring mod for just over a week now. I haven't even scratched the surface yet, but I've had a ton of fun and think I have some usable settings. I kind of like it in High mode with the blend rolled back to about 10 or so with a quick-ish, but subtle LFO. Get some cool out of tune sounds going on in the back ground. Also it is totally a kick ass trem.
At my first rehearsal with it it took about five minutes before the bandmates had found a space in our set for the space ship noises

Spent a couple hours with it into the Memory Boy. Got a couple decent things going to layer some guitar over. When I sit down to play noise usually isn't my thing, but this was a lot of fun. I found myself really wanting a second delay though.

Re: Moogerfoogers
The low pass filter is incredible! Like an ultra strong techno wah wah (with an expression pedal). Plus does all that fonky touch-wah stuff. Then one day with my 'headphone' band (drummer with pads only) we fed the sound of the whole band through it, and as we rocked out I very slowly swept the cut-off frequency right down then back up...
And it makes a nice sinewave to piss off other people.
But that drive control!
Always on - even on bypass! What's that all about?! And the LEDs... Is that green for 'go'? Or red for 'on'? I can never remember.
But even given those problems, I'd still recommend it in a flash.

Yeah, hate the drive, decided I'd need a TB looper just to put the Moog in, settled on a chk chk boom with loop mute, works as well.,Plus a Moog in a feedback loop is pure bliss.
