BOSS SLICER KICKS ASS BITCHES!
I have a boss slicer that Eric from caboladies/carl calm/palmetto electronic group kinda talked me into getting. I have had it for a year and am in love with this thing! The slicer gets such a bad rap because of all the techno guitar demo vids of it. The slicer kicks ass! I bought another one a month ago because I love it so much. I have not even opened the other one yet. I tried to sell it on BST for $175 ( I bought it new from prymax for $225). I had no bites at all. tell me, what is with all of the slicer hate around here? Also, if you have one and love it, let me know why and how you use it. You can create and loop such bad ass patterns with this thing. I FUCKING LOVE THE BOSS SLICER!!!!

Re: BOSS SLICER KICKS ASS BITCHES!
I couldn't sell mine for $120 haha.
I really like the separate controls for dry and effect volume, tap tempo was nice, and I'm sure it kicks all kind of ass in stereo though I never got the chance to try it out.
The main reason I got rid of mine:
-Square wave only
-The attack control bugged me, either soft or too much *pop*
-The speed is fixed to BPMs I think so changing the speed wasn't very fluid
-Didn't go slow enough on some settings
-I primarily found myself using symmetric patterns I could get with a regular tremolo, and the Tremolessence sounds way better. Working on getting another one (should have never sold my first one)
But, you know, YMMV. It's definitely a useful pedal.

It kicks ass in stereo man. You might have kept it after trying it out.

Probably, but I don't have the means to run stereo right now. & I like triangle wave more than square.

Hellz yeah, I rock the Slicer as well. It really is a damn cool piece of kit. And Kbit, you can also basically get a sawtooth wave by turning the attack knob all the way down.

Yeah that's how I used it 75% of the time haha. Spoiled by the wave shaping of the tremolessence when I had it.
Fuck I want that pedal again.

I got my friend into HEALTH and he has been putting their stuff (Die Slow in particular) on his party playlists ever since.
I really need to get that album.
Also, do you know what he use as the sound source in that video? Is it the moog ring mod?
Nope, something with his PS-5 I think. Possibly in a feedback loop or being fed signal from something...

got my Slicer about a week ago. I have RC-50 and I'm getting midi cable to send tempo from it to Slicer. if it works and I can set tempo in bpm for Slicer it's gonna be one of my "use in every song" pedals. also putting a filter after Slicer is so much fun.
I also use harpeggiator from Pitchfactor, they're similar with SL-20 although Boss is still better for lots of applications.
