Yeah I didn't see the offense of the original post with Mountain, but I never really cared for the Rolling Stones to begin with. I liked it better than the original actually.

That Celine Dion cover though... really emphasizes what AC/DC has become. :lol:

I feel covering a song is the best way to share the song with an audience if it's done correctly. If you can cover it well and have the whole crowd with you singing along, there's nothing wrong with that. Until it contradicts the artist's intentions I suppose, which I think is what we find repulsive about some of these Nirvana covers.

I dig the Mountain cover too. Admittedly, I love Mountain to death, and I think the Stones' Satisfaction is the most overrated rock song ever...but I'd way rather listen to the cover than the original.

That has to be the worst cover in history that's actually semi-popular. Hands down.

There are a few who have pulled off good Beatles covers: the Breeders' "Happiness is a Warm Gun", the Black Keys' "She Said She Said"...some others I'm forgetting? :idk: It's all about first picking one of their tunes that wasn't a huge hit, and then putting your own spin on it like everyone else has said. If you really think you're going to do justice to "A Day in the Life" or something, GTFO.

I like this band, I like the cover they did!

It is some hype on some radiostations to let local bands cover hits.. So they did it the right way ;)
