Picked her up today from BlindToFaith, she's a beauty. Sent her off to a tech shortly after to get set up for thicker strings and B tuning. '78 Peavey T60

25 1/2" scale, and the tech recommended I put Dr. Strings DDT Drop Down Tuning Strings on (which I've never used before, but I hope I like) which are 10-46. I'm used to using Ernie Ball Heavy Bottoms which are 10-52, but we will see! As long as they don't flop I don't care a whole lot. The tech was kind of a dick, but he said he would go throughout the entire guitar and set it up, so that's good I guess. Truss rod/intonation/bridge adjustment, etc etc. I only got to play her for five minutes yesterday:(

I just saw a band last night where the guitarist was playing one of those Peavy guitars. It sounded cool.

Here's my Tele. I put some different knobs on it. Not sure if I'm gonna keep them but I kinda dig it

No shit, only 10-46? For the B standard tuning?? I guess the 25 1/2" scale should increase tension a bit, keep 'em from flopping maybe.

Never tried the DDT line from DR but I use their Tite Fit and those sonsabitches are top notch. They feel and sound new FOREVER. Well, not really but they last a good long while, better than any other string I've tried honestly. DDT comes 10-52 as well, think 11-54 is the next step up.

Bah. I wish I would have looked around a bit. He just picked the pack off the wall, I should have suggested he look at the Heavy Bottoms to get that string gauge to put on. Oh well, hopefully these don't flop! I'll give a report back tomorrow about it, I'm picking it back up after class!

Have fun with my old T-60 SkullServant. Fun little fiddle there. I bet that thing'll be bangin' with a good set-up.

Those 10-46's are a bit floppy, but I guess I can deal, at least for this set. This guitar rips hard. Seriously some of the hottest pickups I have ever played

This thing is super cool. The ancient Okinawans clearly knew that the key to those elusive Dimebag toans would require snakeskin. And they were right.
It's like a banjo but slightly more or less annoying, depending on playing ability and your point of view, I guess..
Samurai movie tones for days.
