Bugera BVV3000 300 Watt Tube Bass Head

Post by univalve »

summary: ok, fuck me in the ass, i need it :!!!:

long version: That Amp is heavy as fuck, very very versatile, effective controls, can be midrangy, can BOOM you to death, was a hell of fun to play, sounds superb with my octasynth, my second voice on octave down and i rocked it about 2 hours with the Precision of my buddy.
Build qualitiy is perfect. Same as my 1960. Really nothing that is not fitting. Yes, produced in China. Is that bad or good? :idk: The price for the wattage, the broadband sound, the dynamics and versatile controls is a steal.

Probably i can get that test amp (test for a german magazine) a bit cheaper. Will see. I really need that amp for analog pattern robots: the sound at the rehearsal today was so so    Everything fit just a bit better with it :idk: In two weeks we will record with this monster :joy:

As comparision to the 1960: the 1960 is a bit more dirty and not so clean-transparent. The BVV3000 has headroom for arenas and can reach down deeper. You can get it dirty - but just with preampgain.

Very very cool. People love to slag on Bugera, but the build quality on my 1960 impressed me, and the sound is fantastic. This thing looks like a beast!

Looks pretty cool, that's the sort of cheapish thing I'd probably get if I wanted a higher wattage bass amp.

It looks pretty cool. $761.99. For $600, I got a used Eden 300T in MINT condition (I did score a deal). Same wattage.

The only thing that made me go hmm. is the straps on top of the head. It seems like metal ones on the side would work better.

If I could find one of these on the Used market for hella cheep,...I'd be all over it. Considering a re-tube?

Sadly my one experience with Bugera left a really bad impression. I'd be willing to check it out.

It does seem versatile, I really dig that.
Hearsay has made me automatically question Bugera, although I've never played through one. Maybe they are as fine as any other mass-produced amp.

If anything you'd have something to practice repairs on.

Of potentially kill yourself with and make it look like an accident and collect on that life insurance and buy a 400+.

I did a side by side once at the guitarshop between the bugera v22 and the marshall class5 and the bugera won me over by miles. If I was still in a two man band I wouldn't hesitate for a second to buy this and run my guitar through it.

I recently saw a two-man band setup that used an ampeg svt on guitar and it was awesome! Totally convinced me to run my guitar through bass amps in the future. Right now the band I'm in is too quiet to even let me turn up my fender twin past one

I had a Bugera 333 head for about two years, didnt really like any of the channels but the amp never failed on me even when i had had it i my car for two weeks in the freezing fuckin winter, and beeing draged to and from punk gigs and tours can take it´s toll on gear. I would say you can trust these amps as much as you can trust any other piece of gear.

That deal fell through. Unfortunately. It was (probably still is) the only one in Europe.
So i have to wait until it hits the shops. I will get it then for sure.
