you're using the Phantom Ring...i love the PR. i need to find the room and the power-supply capacity to get the PR back on my big board. right now the main board is a huge insane thing:
TC Polytune
Pigtronix Philosophers' Tone
EH Octave Multiplexer
Mellowtone Hi Five
MXR 70s Distortion+
Earthquaker Tone Reaper
Earthquaker Sound Shank
fuzzhugger (fx) Algal Bloom
EMMA DiscumBOBulator envelope filter
TC Electronic SCF chorus/flanger
Ernie Ball volume pedal
Boss RV-3 reverb/delay
Menatone Pleasure Trem 5000 tremolo
Earthquaker Ghost Echo reverb
and i still want to add a Prometheus Deluxe or whatever they call the upgraded model and a Randy's Revenge. then i have the looper board with two delays that loop, and the rack with the three delays and the MIDI controller.
for the small board i just want to have an OD, a fuzz, a modulation, a filter, a trem, and a reverb...maybe a delay. for the OD i'd be delighted with another old D+; i also like the AnalogMan AstroTone a lot. for the fuzz i could use the Velcroar i already have, which i love and which is a heavily underrated fuzz that's more versatile than people think--with the ROAR set over to one side it does a nice Tonebender-y thing, and on the other it's
Rust Never Sleeps--but i'm also tempted by the Wren and Cuff Tall Font Russian, which actually could split the difference between OD and fuzz. for modulation i'd have to hunt around to find something i like more than the TC; the cheap Ibanez Tone-Lok boxes sound decent and would make me giggle every time i looked at them because of the Tone-Loc thing. similarly, i like the EMMA much more than the other EFs out there...it's got a much warmer tone to my ear. for a "normal" board i'd probably get a trem like the Fulltone or the Swamp Thing that does the Fender-style tremolo. on my budget it's hard to imagine finding another reverb i like more than the Ghost Echo, but i'm willing to be convinced. i have no idea what i'd do for a delay. probably replace the Flashback on my looping board with a dedicated looper and use the Flashback on the small board.
