Underrated Gear
*see title*
or stuff you think gets a bad rap. there was talk elsewhere about EMGs being underrated AND having a bad rap, but when used outside of their expected context, they're great.
so what type of gear do you guys think is REALLY underrated for certain things or just get nixed for dumb reasons?
personally i think ESP surveyors are hella underrated, as are Rocktron effects. Traben is underrated too, imo. rad tone, they just kinda have niche-y designs.

Re: Underrated Gear
I'm not sure I quite understand the question, but in general I think that electric guitars are pretty underrated.

My Peavey Triumph PAG 60 is one of the best amps I've played. Ugly as hell, but super reliable.
And I've owned a Silverface twin, various Gibson Goldtones, Trace Velocette, and many others. For the record.

Underrated, i dunno, but, the Boss tu-2 is fantastic. I've had it for nearly 10 years with no issues. People talk about the korg pitchblack a ton, but, whatevs. tu-2 ftw.

Yes!
Although that said, I'm ending up with less and less Boss on my board, but on the other hand I'm getting into weirder sounds, which isn't Boss's strongest point.

I've been trying for years to replace my Boss BF-3, but it just ain't happening. I'm afraid I'm gonna be stuck with that ugly purple bastard forever!

Well... some of the Behringers aren't that bad either... the Superfuzz gets some love.. and I got the US600 Pitch Shift thingy for cheaps because the boss one was too expensive.. works like a charm and doesn't sound bad.

Re: Underrated Gear
I saw a BF-2 at GC for like fifty bucks an had to restrain myself from buying it. Also, my DM-2 was sex. And I use a TU-3 now because I snapped the footswitch off my pitchblack.
Also, I think Univox is pretty underrated.
