New album is awesome. Go and get it. Rather Ripped is awesome too.

I highly suggest Murray Street if you haven't heard it.

Murray Street is my favorite. Radical Adults Lick Godhead Style and Karen Revisited are probably their best songs.

I'm not going to lie to you, there is some shit SY albums.

Some of the early early stuff like Confusion is Sex and Bad Moon Rising are silly and a bit pointless, SY themselves have acknowledge those albums of being more of "statements" then music really (they did come up during the "No-Wave" movement). But that's not to say a few very awesome songs pop up in the middle of those albums. Washing Machine is a bit of a snoozer for me. But other than that the band, when they hit their stride, they are transcendent.

i thought washing machine was totally lame when it came out, but now i like it.
however i don't get why they hacked off the last 5 minutes of the diamond sea (the full version is on the destroyed room), that's when it gets interesting!

nurse was definitely a grower for me... didn't really like it at first, put it away... came back to it like a year later and fell in love with it

my favs are definitely daydream nation, washing machine, sister, dirty, murray st, goo, nurse, experimental jetset & the eternal

For having 16 albums not everyone of them can be awesome.

Everybody I know who likes Nurse didn't like it at first either. It will grow on you.

My favorites are probably Murray Street, Sister, EVOL, A Thousand Leaves and Goo. Murray Street being my favorite. I think the Eternal will grow to be a favorite, I have a hard time with the first two tracks for some reason.

I never find I can sit down and listen to a SY album all the way through unless I'm in just the right mood, but there are at least 3 songs on every album that I love and could listen to over and over again...

That being said, I can always make it all the way through Rather Ripped. I absolutely do not think it has their best songs by far, but as far as a whole album goes it's pretty easy to get through.

Murray Street and Daydream Nation will always top my list though
