Warwicky - yah. Danny was cool as BUTTS getting the Send Receives far enough apart to fit pancake head cables, but i have to move it to overhang an empty slat to do that and since it's first in the chain (using it for a loop to easy on/off like 4 pedals and the other loop to on/off EVERYthing else so i can get stoopid noise then drop to clean with a stomp), and i get a little worried about the tension on the cables. i'm probably going to do like i did when i had a smart looper (the OmLabs EfxII? thing was NEAT. pretty tiny, let you do banks of four that were any combination of any of the 8 loops that were run into it. i didn't really know enough to set it up in a more useful way though.), right angle pancake on Pedal End, straighty butt on Looper End. i'm kinda TRYING to space stuff out a little. go for a less is more approach? lulz. because the PT-Pro is TOTALLY a Small Setup Dinger. WOOT.

moof. work. yesterday SUCKED. i have like at least 2 hours of recording stuff i NEED to get done before tonight, and i wanted to spend all day on layout board play. drugs and pain ruiiiiiiiiiiined that.

oh, i'm an IDIOT. i had the metal plug and crown from an old route canal pretty much disintigrate. kept putting off taking care of it and woke up yesterday with Quatto growing out of the side of my face. huge freaking abscess. it has..... put a damper on the last few days. in the midst of a strong ass antibiotic run, then dental fixins. it'll be a'ight, it's just horrifically painful so i've been all loopy and doped up on Vicodin like a mug.

had LOADS of stuffs to do yesterday, and i spent all day a the dentist or pharmicist or doped out of my mind.

lol. talked to a friend, he was like, "y'know, if anything, you were MORE lucid than usual."

he got JOKES and shit. now WHERE is my KellyUnknowy Smurf Based Sammich Totem Pole? WHERE?

Ouch. Doubly ouch if, like me, you're a grown adult who's still truly afraid of the dentist's chair, thanks to a bad experience with the family dentist when I was a kid. You have my sincere sympathies. And a Vicodin buzz is nothing to sneeze at, either.

I've always been curious about his stuff, just haven't pulled the trigger. Until now... I'm sure it'll rule face. It's got fuckin' tentacles on it for fook's sake. I'm planning on comparing it to the Katanasound Super Bass Fuzz since they are both bass-friendly Super-Fuzz type pedals. Which I didn't realize until recently, apparently my knowledge of Super-Fuzz is lacking, because I thought only octave mode on said Katanasound was Super-Fuzz based (and I never use that side of ze pedlul).

Oh yeah I bought a Markbass Super Booster recently. I'm not really a fan of their stuff because I think it sounds like poo, but I have always liked the VLE knob when I use my buddy's Markbass Ultrascoop 2000 or whatever it's called. I bought it thinking for shows I have to go direct (read: all of them ), I want to be able to kill off harsh clanky treble AFTER my complete signal chain, not just on the passive tone knob on my bass. Mostly for fuzz usage, and for that it really works well:

Here's some poop with me turning the Blooper on/off throughout the clip, it really does reign in the clickity-dickity-don't shite pretty well, without making it sound like I'm playing through a 6" blanket with wet cats for speaker cones. Of course it also made me realize that running fuzz direct isn't the end of the world really. I still hate to do it, would much rather let the overdriven tube wwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmmttttttthhhhhhhhh actually be heard at gigs, but WTF-ever, doesn't really matter to anyone but me I guess.

You have a Katana? Wow....that's one of those that I will probably never get to try (no, that's not a hint...), since I'm not exactly in the center of the bass universe, here in the valley.

And I'm almost kinda embarrassed to admit that A) I have a Markbass cab (102P Traveler) and B) I actually like it. I run my Epi tube head into it and it grinds for freakin' DAYZZEZZZZ...zz'zz...and stuff...I admit that there are times I'd like to pull the grill off and hit the 10's with a black Sharpie, but tone-wise (the important part) it's a keeper.

Hey if you're down south cruise by sometime. L'Katanasound has spent most of its journey with me on my board. I took it off for a spell but then missed it too much, it's the only HEAVY fuzz I've ever used that actually works in a mix for me. I'm always drawn to heavy, thick, high gain fuzz pedals but they are only fun at home really. Except that one, and hopefully the Tentacle Love as well, but we'll see.

Nothin' wrong with Markboobs, just not really my thing. If my amp doesn't weigh more than my pedalboard w/ case I tend to shun it. Well not really but that thing weighs 35 pounds fully loaded so going for a lightweight head doesn't offer much comfort to me these days. My buddy sounds AMAZING with his Markbass stack and it really is a part of his sound. I actually dig the yellow cones, nice and obnoxious.

There is I think 4 or 5 Robot Factory pedals on the TB clasifieds in one for sale thread with really good prices...I PMed. One of the pedals is a Tentacle Love Fuzz. Also MeatWad, Photron, Wormhole and maybe one more...
