I've decided that Fall Out Boy isn't nearly as bad as I thought them in middle school, and are actually quite good.

I have difficulty taking musicians seriously when they're making all kinds of exaggerated faces.

For all that shows on my face while I'm playing music I could as easily be discussing the finer points of programming indenting conventions.

And yes, I know enough about that subject to discuss it. I prefer the Allman style of indenting.

I've found that when I get really into playing, or just generally doing something, I tend to purse my lips a little. I can't stop doing it, and it's been bothering me now that I'm aware of it.

It always pisses me off that they only give you two sticks for the three packets of sugar, though. There's no good way to handle that situation. You lick the stick, which is made of sugar, shove it in the sugar packet to coat it in sugar, then lick the sugar off the stick. If you use a full stick per packet, then you have to eat the last packet straight out of the bag, which just makes it a giant pixie stick in a bag, which is no fun. You could break one of the sticks in half, but then you end up getting sugar all over your fingers because half a stick is too short. True, they make the single-serve packets that all come with a stick, but I can never find the grape flavor in single-serve.

I actually called Wonka's phone number and complained to them about the 3-packs once in my younger days. They failed to give me an acceptable response, saying something along the lines of it being a marketing decision, and telling me that they would inform the marketing department of my displeasure.

things are going particularly badly the last few days, and so i'm quite depressed and unhappy. yet i find this oddly comforting...i've spent so long being totally depressed and miserable that the last few weeks of being relatively functional and then actually HAPPY was kind of creeping me out and feeling like hypomania. once i get done gasping from being kicked in the gut i feel normal.

Yeah, there are periods every now and then where I'm feeling really positive for a few days. It's like "is this what normal people feel like? All the time?!"

i'm trying really hard to talk myself down from going off the edge into the Depression Hell y'all are so familiar with me residing in, but it's extremely difficult. i'm so discombobulated at the moment that i was about to go take a nap when i noticed the burner on the stove happily warming the water i'd put on to make pasta since i hadn't eaten all day.
