should i trade my Vox Ac15 for a Humboldt Hot Rod Fender Blues Jr.? some guy on craigslist posted he'd do the trade and I was curious what anyone else would do. i like the vox, but it's loud as fuck AND heavy. never had any experience with the blues jr, but it looks pretty sweet....

Both are so awesome, I might, but I'd rather have both. I'd probably stick with the Vox in the end.

i don't understand why the vox is so fucking heavy. i also can't really turn it up alot in my apartment, because it's pretty fuckin loud for 15 watts

I dunnp, I don't like the vox ac amps :idk: Just very brittle to me. Plus if you can't crank a tube amp, it's like you've only got half of it.

AC15 at apartment volumes will wreck the little boxy POS Blues Jr.

Fender tube amps without 6l6 or 6v6 tubes are just wrong.

You'll be taking it up the rear trade value wise as well I suspect, especially when Fender releases another half dozen "limited edition'" Jrs this year.

Don't get me wrong, I loves me a Fender amp - tube, most SS, etc...but not the little boxy monster.

Hate to say it, keep your Vox and just save pennies for a Mustang II or the new Vibro Champ with the USB editing for home volumes, you keep both home and small gig/jam options open that way.

single-handedly convinced me to stay with the Vox. I'll happily carry around that monster, rather than play in the fucking woods in a video clearly directed towards TGP

The Pats may have broken my heart last night. I may be sick to my stomach from 13 Yuengling's and 2 rum and cokes. But at least I'm not the tool in that video. I can go to bed relatively at peace now.

Don't do it.
Buy a decent attenuator -- Ho / Ultimate / THD, not one of those useless volume pot-in-a-box things people call attenuators.
