Disaster Transport sucking tone when engaged?

Hi guys, I've had the Disaster Transport for a couple of months but I've only noticed this now.

Also, notice that it's occurring with the mix knob is all the way down. Is this normal?

I don't get that with mine (Jr). My favourite thing about it is actually how the dry tone doesn't change at all when the delay is turned on.

Well it is voiced as an analog delay/tape echo so it will inherent be darker.

I assumed he was talking about the clean signal. The clean signal doesn't really change with mine. The overall sound gets darker, especially with a dirty sound, because of the dark repeats, but if I roll down the mix knob the dry signal is the same as with the pedal off.

I understand, but my mix knob was all the way down, and my entire signal had the high frequencies rolled-off, shouldn't that only be for the repeats?

I'm just wondering if this is normal, and if it isn't, perhaps I could send it to someone to get it repaired.

Had a similar problem with a flanger once and it ended up being that the foot switch was making a bad connection.

One thing you might want to try is take the OCD out of your chain. I have heard people talk about the OCD having a negative effect on the tone of other pedals depending on where it's at in the chain. I don't own an OCD, so I can't say for sure, but it might be worth a shot. I'm sure if you email Jamie, he will help you sort it out. EQD has awesome customer service.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I tried taking the OCD out of the chain, didn't work, the problem was still there.

Do you have it in your effects loop? If so, is there a loop volume control?

Try the Disaster Transport alone (no other pedals) in front of your amp... do you still get the same thing?
Are you using a dasy chain?

Nope it's straight from guitar->pedalboard->amp.

Hmm, it was in a daisy chain from my Fuel Tank. I put it on a separate outlet, but I still got same thing. Funny thing is, when I just run through it clean, I get some high frequencies boosted, I suppose it's because of the buffer in its circuit.

I emailed EQD and according to Jamie it could be an issue with a capacitor or IC... Now I'm just trying to figure out the best course of action. I live outside of the US, so it's gonna be pretty expensive to ship it to and fro. Yikes.

Did you purchased it new? If so return it to your dealer.
