Just buy one!

Good pickups fix the crap out of that so they're bright but not icepicky or lacking bass.
If the JM stock pickups are good that would be cool.füzz lover. Friend. Quilter evangelist.

I would if I didn't just buy a Second Voice! Soon enough.... Maybe I'll get rid of my Sovtek Small Stone for it

Marr sig does have custom Bare Knuckles pickups, and if I don't dig 'em I can always score some Novaks.
and dude...before you get a Faye Sing, look HARD at the Whetstone. I much prefer it.

I've wanted to try a whetstone for ages, how is it different to the Faye Sing and what makes it better? I know it does faster rates and has a few more controls, but is it that or just the sound?

ha, for noisy stuff Faye Sing may work better, who knows? there ARE custom color Whetstones out there, though. but super slow mode, vibrato mode, pseudo-ring mod mode - Whetstone is still the super killer, imo.

I've said this before, but too me the Faye Sing was just a little too "throaty" or "peaky".
Whestone is just a deep, satisfying "whoosh." It can go super slow or fast, 2 or 4 stage phasing, vibrato is cool, you can get a cocked wah sound out of it, weird ring-mod shit...thing just rules.
Maybe partying will help.

I like the CE22 for it's versatility since it's my only guitar (pickup split, etc)... but it doesnt have any vibe.
I love coil tapped HBs now days, have 'em on 2 of 3 guitars, considering installing some on the other. Sooooo much variety. Mustang Special has coil tap + phase selectors + 3 way selector, like unlimited options plus tons o' vibe. Vibe is key feature, hard to love a guitar that's lacking it....

Awesome, congrats dude!
PICS GOD DAMMIT! Or are they up in the "guitar" thread already? Will look now.

Troof! I forgot about the Bare Knuckles. Can't imagine those not being super badass.

I actually sold my Whetstone for the FS but I like both honestly. Whetstone is like a full-featured Small Stone (one of the greatest imo) but I was only using one setting really, it was kinda big, and it had no MIX knob dammit!
I'm not huge into phaser so the FS appealed with the smaller size. Other reasons I preferred it were the MIX control for the fuzz phasing variety/fine tuning, the uniquely awesome sound, and EXP control. I've never heard a phaser do so well with dirtz, done looking now I think.

After 10 years with the CE22 as my only electric guitar I think it's time for a change...
The PRS CE22 is a very good guitar well build... but
I really don't know what to look for.
I will definitly take a look at the Mustang Special.
I really like that kind of guitar (but I live in Quebec City, custom fee would be awefull).

I really liked my small stone, but it was kind of lacking with dirt, whereas the Faye Sing sounds totally awesome with massive fuzz, so that pretty much keeps the Faye Sing as no.1.
I'd still like to try a whetstone though...füzz lover. Friend. Quilter evangelist.

If you like massive fuzz + phaser tones, the Faye Sing is hard to beat imo. Maybe it's my amp or setup or whatever but the Whetstone couldn't compare in that facet. And without the mix, it was either pre OR post-fuzz sounds depending on placement. FS can be dialed either way so I run it way late in my chain, no worries, more variety, less moving pedals around. That rules.
