dicksplsion is not a concern - my junk is blastproof.

You have some cool guitar man. :thumb:
I really should sell my PRS CE22 and get something else.
I like the CE22 for it's versatility since it's my only guitar (pickup split, etc)... but it doesnt have any vibe.

Nervous about what, possible dicksplosion when you actually lay hands on it?

That's what I'd be concerned about....

Pretty tempted by some Basic Audio stuff right now... Just realised I have no vintage-y fuzz pedals.

the only bummer is it's a tiny little guitar, and i'm a gnarly burly dude. think it might look kinda funny. :poke:

Zounds Perspex wrote:I'm trying to decide between it and the Johnny Marr Jag for my next guit.

My friend got one of these awhile back, dual coil tapped HB model, it sounds and plays wonderfully. I can't get along with that body shape/styling but he's totally head-over-heels when it comes to that guitar and he has a mega-stash of cool shit to compare it with.

A touch on the small side for sure. I have a Mustang Special I felt that way about initially but I've come around since then. I'm no gnarly/burly dude though. If that were the case, I couldn't hack a baby-axe.

Marr sig is cool too but I've yet to find a Jag that didn't sound way thin, nothing new pickups couldn't fix I'm guessing. Plus you'd be another step closer to acquiring one of the sicker offset collections I've seen (on the internet at least).

I was a few clicks away from doing this my self. If you don't dig it, I might.

I just ordered one myself with Exp/CV, can't wait. Sold my original awhile back to fund this but got sidetracked somehow....

RULEZ! HARD!!

I've been interested in a low-power tube amp to keep around the house/record with/avoid noise violations/etc. and that new Ampeg gvt 15W head has me wondering. My friend at GC can get me one SUPER cheap (50% off, around $250), gonna check it out at least. Korean made but I hear is built well considering plus 5 year Warranty ftw. theavondon snagged flip dibs already so it'll have a welcome home waiting if things don't work out....

I've got a couple old Ampegs now and I'm not expecting any similarites beyond cosmetics but it's a unique design in the crowded "lunchbox" amp market. 2x6V6 (I love those fucking tubes!), 15W or 7.5W, nice reverb, good clean headroom, and BAX TONE STACK! Maybe Deluxe Reverb-ish/Old School Ampeg-ish with some grind. Also, a shitload of tone-shaping capabilities with the BAX. Hear it likes the pedals too, whole slew of output options, hope it's cool.

Fully prepared for those hopes to be shattered but hoping for the best.
