Reverb/Delay with tons of battery life?

I have a cheap Behringer digital reverb, and a Digidelay at the moment. Neither last very long on batteries, and basically I'm a bit of a mess when it comes to plugs at the moment. I seem to have lost my reverb.

I don't know if there's such a thing as an affordable, compact analogue reverb but if there is, I'd be pretty interested. Also a cheap analogue delay(doesn't have to have a lot of delay time). Digital pedals tend to suck batteries, though then again my Microcube lasts ages.

I think it's the nature of the beast with delays, especially with analog ones. If I'm not mistaken, the delays are achieved through running the signal into bucket brigade chips that process the signal thousands of times before outputting them, thus causing the delay...and that awesome coloration.

Seems like that would take some serious wattage, relatively speaking.

So maybe a really efficient Digital Delay would be best? What would you suggest?

In all honesty, the Visual Sound Onespot. I've never had any luck powering delays on batteries for long. My DL4 (RIP) LAUGHED when you showed it batteries.

The Onespot is cheap ($35 for adaptor and daisy chain cable) and can power as many pedals as you want up to the 1700 mA maximum which is a lot. I figure, I run two delays, a fuzz, a distortion, an OD, a boost, a Sonic Stomp, and a switching system with one adapter and zero batteries. The Onespot pays for itself in like ten minutes.

I was looking at the Dunlop DC power Brick and the Pedal Power 2 and all that crap, but it's so expensive, and the boxes take up more precious pedalboard space.I'm definitely a Onespot fan.

Digital or analog...those types of pedals are just going to suck tones of power. +1 for the onespot or powerall.

Plus who likes messing around with screwdrivers all day to replace batteries?
I just got a pedal from somebody and it seems they've stripped all the screws in a failed attempt to swap the battery

any power unit will ultimately save you money over time. I don't know what 9v batteries go for across the pond but for me it's about $6-7 a pop. I've got 6 pedals right now, so even at $6 a battery the Onespot would already pay for itself with my setup. The more expensive units have their advantages (isolated grounds, sturdier construction, dying battery simulation, etc...) and that's why I dished out more dough for one, but it still pays for itself over time. Plus, as Aen always says, it's MUCH better for the environment

I don't think they sell one spot over here. I have a Boss PSU though it's only like 300ma.

You might have better luck with the godlyke powerall, they seem to deal more internationally.
You might even be able to deal direct with them, check out their website.

Basically the same thing as a onespot...some might argue better if you throw down for the extras (like the powerpump voltage step-up converter)

i don't want one of those ridiculous block things. I don't even use a pedal board. I just take the 2-3 pedals I'm using and chain them together, usually fuzz delay and modulation. Honestly if I was playing live this is how I'd do it too, just turn down the amp and rearrange the pedals, it takes two seconds and if you're good you can even do it without the music pausing(just your guitar for a bit).

I still have the first battery I installed in my Behringer VD400. I'm really surprised how long its lasted. Granted I unplug it after play to conserve battery life.

Actually, I use rechargables(except for a couple of pedals that last ages and I don't use often). I just hate charging batteries constantly. I'm a big hippie and there's no way I'd be able to afford tearing through 9v batteries at the price they are here anyway. I haven't bought any in months and haven't thrown any out in longer.

Though for my Microcube I used to use batteries that were left over in my mum's hospital. Didn't last long, but I got a ton of them, and got to get more use of them than they would have(they were used for heart monitors or something like that, and just thrown in a big bag when they got them back, very wasteful).

The VD400 sounds like a good bet. I liked my older Behringer Reverb, but I hear the new one is a verbzilla clone so that might be pretty good.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get Li-Poly batteries and the charger? I've been using NiMH. I don't actually mind how they work that much, but I'd prefer to use Li-Polys.
