Greatest Shoegaze album...

Post by O Drones »

..NOT including Loveless. If you think there's one that's the greatest INCLUDING Loveless then say that, but I'm just trying to avoid a wave of Loveless replies.

This isn't a debate about what is and isn't Shoegaze either. If YOU think it's Shoegaze then cool :!!!:

So ILF. What you say? :idk: :snax:

It's more on the dream pop side, but it's a little gazey, My Heart Has a Wish That You Would Not Go by Aereogramme. Ok, so maybe a lot more dream pop than shoegaze. And maybe not the greatest, but I like it ok?!

Never actually listened to them. They're from my city and I've seen them in pubs having a pint but I've never actually made an effort to listen to them. Will do so immediately.

A. Loveless is the worst of their non-goth albums.
2. In the Presence of Nothing shits all over pretty much everything.
III. But I prefer female vocals, so the correct answer is Eyedazzler by Alison's Halo.

I only suggested we should excuse Loveless because it's probably the most mentioned MBV album not because I personally think it's the best :idk:

Nowhere, by Ride.

"Seagull" blew my mind wide open years before I even knew about MBV. And "Vapor Trail" is hands down one of the prettiest songs ever.

Honestly, I listen to it more than Loveless, to this day.

Medicine's first two albums are both better than Loveless, if you ask me.

I'm always proud of my heretical ideas.

And if I'm buying beers next time, then I'm picking them too. :joy:

"Seagull" is radd for sure. Great record.

I'm suprised to see Medicine mentioned, but yeah...Shot Forth Self Living. that's my pick. God, the tone on "One More" when the real guitar line finally comes in. fucking face melting!
Maybe partying will help.
