Yeah, I'd be interested in checking out one of those. I thought it was funny when Gearmanndude busted the switch when he demoed it.

Yeah, Gearmanndude is hilarious.

I'd really rather have an old FL-305 than the AF2 though.

I want to get steel drum sounds out of my TC Vortex and I can't seem to find any settings that have enough feedback. The normal FLANGER and TAPE modes don't have it. I thought there might be a TonePrint with lots of feedback. So, I e-mailed TC Electronic. This is what the product specialist had to say to me:

"I'm afraid I cannot recommend a specific TonePrint as a starting point for achieving the sound you're looking for as almost all the TonePrints have the same feedback setting (100%)."

I'm not sure he understood my question. (I'm not sure I understand his answer.) Some of the TonePrints must have more feedback available than others, right?

My question to Vortex users: Is there a TonePrint that you've tried that has massive amounts of feedback?

That's the one I want. Thank you.

I'm more of your lurker type, but +1! I also can't believe no-one's mentioned the HF-2 High Band Flanger. You can get a great faux leslie sound out of it, if you're into that sort of thing. I also have a BF-2B, which sounds quite different to the BF-2 - good for half chorusy-flange. Boss flangers are nice ;)

I really like the momentary option of the bf3 (?)

i'm not much of a flanger guy myself, but they are awesome in a feedback loop

I kind of agree with The Mad Owl, I'm not much for flange, but when I am, I've got a DOD FX75B stereo flange for the job. I modded it to have an expression jack for the sweep on the speed, it's delicious

Please, tell me more of this momentary option on the BF-3.

Anyone else using a Boss BF-3? What think you?

I contacted TC Electronic tech support to ask if they had any any suggestion for a warm, analog sounding TonePrint.

This is their exact response, word for word:

Thank you for contacting TC Electronic.

We don't actively listen to our toneprints and 'grade' them like that - it might be best to ask other toneprint users on our user-to-user forum:
http://forum.tcelectronic.com/forum/6/pedals/

....or on websites like Harmony Central or theGearPage -

Uh, yeah, thanks.

Does anyone know of any good flangers with stereo INputs? I'm running a stereo rig. I have an EHX PolyChorus, which is the perfect subtle liquidy flange sound I like, but to keep it in stereo, it needs to be at the beginning of my chain (before the dirt), and I'd rather it be near the end. I've only found the TC Vortex, and from the demos I've heard it sounds nothing like the PolyChorus (but maybe it can). Help?

I actually like cheap flangers. Especially if they're from the Eighties.

TC Vortex got the stereo ins.

but I think the Behringer flange machine is based off of line 6 pedals? I know their reverb (or was it delay?) is. so it could be fun

Bumping this thread because I am looking for flanger that's warm and has a lot of tweak ability. I have a Stereo Mistress and it is not satisfying me.

Don't care if it's in a rack either.
