Stage Center Reverb with a different input impedance?

Post by Achtane »

Hey doods. I'm pretty new to building stuff and my skills are weak so far, but lately I've really been wanting to get into it more.
I have this Accutronics reverb pan and I'm thinking about going with GGG's Stage Center Reverb because it looks simple and easy enough to translate into perfboard form. Then I could just build a little box and have a neat outboard unit.
In the absence of circuit knowledge on my part I'm presenting this issue here:
The GGG circuit calls for the reverb pan #4DB2C1D, with an input impedance of 250 ohms.
The pan I have is #4BB2C1D, which is 150 ohms.

Here's their bill of materials and schematic...http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/bom ... a841b3e85a

Do you think the difference in impedance would be great enough to warrant changing out some components, and if so, uhh...what do I change?
If left alone, wouldn't the verb just be slightly more prone to distorting?

it most likely wont matter.

the send and return are both buffered with an opamp. so as long as the opamp can drive 150 ohm load (far from uncommon) it wont make much of a difference.

if you need more gain to compensate for some sort of losses you can increase R9 (among many options).
