Boarded this. Had to make a couple value swaps based on my supply...270n (not 220) for the first two, the rest are 100n. Also used mpsa13's cause I didn't have the bc549c. It's certainly bassy! More so than the muffs I've used. Sounds really good. The tone control sucks however, and I could only use it full treble or slightly lower. There's not much volume on tap. Tone control bypass might be cool. Once I get the proper values, I'll start working on mods.

Please post your mods. I built one for my bass player friend and it was just ok. I want to swap out the trannies (mps18) for some lower gain ones and fuck with the cap in the loop. I hate the tone control, as well. Maybe one of the Jack Orman mods would work better on the tone control....

Yea, I've already tweaked this some more. Starting to sound much better. Once it's all said and done, I'll make a list.

Awesome. The one I built sounded ok, maybe a little flubby. Seems like a better mids control would help. I may try out some of Skreddy's suggestions on page 4 or 5, as well.

I've re-read through this thread, and been looking over the bass fuzz, supa/jumbo bender, and big muff schematics a lot. With the already tested mods, plus ideas I'm getting, should be pretty awesome. Trying to cover the ground of all of those, plus do something unique

Finally got the transistors I had been waiting on. BC184c & 549c. Back to the board!
