You can do that... but why would you not want to bring the noise?

Because at full power, I'm afraid i'm going to have to run it way too loud to get it dirty. If I start drowning out the rest of the band, they'll get real pissy. So it's either run it with half the tubes pulled, or get an attenuator.

I'd rather pull a pair of matched tubes than use an attenuator, but that's up to your taste. If possible, try both out and see which sounds better to you.

And I still want those Del goggles. 3030 is one of the best headphone albums ever.

I forgot that since I only have half the power tubes in there, I should have been running the impedence selector at half the ohms that I had it on. Once I switched it down to the correct impedence, now the normal channel sounds awesome.

And yeah, holy shit. It really does sound awesome. I'm wondering if I might want to keep it on half-power all the time. Does anyone do that? Will it fuck up the amp long-term? When I google around, I see some people saying it's fine, and others say that it will end up killing your amp eventually. Is there a consensus here?

Wait wait wait! YOU bought a tube amp?

Yeah, I never said anything bad about tube amps, other than they tend to be hideously expensive. So I went with a Bugera. Which is basically the only tube amp I can afford. But so far, I love it.

By the way, what are your thoughts on running it with tube pulled?

Honestly it isn't something I personally would do unless I was in a big pinch. It depends on the amp though... But I usually really play it safe with amps...

I feel as if I will have the ULTIMATE pedal board by this summer. Got a B3K coming, a Pitchfactor and am going to start saving for a Timeline. Can you imagine the sex that could happen with just those pedals? The pure sex! Also have a Faye Sing coming, why I get rid of in the first place? I dunno. ADD I suppose. God the Timeline sounds good. I hate Behndy for making me listen to the demos. HATE!
