I have a shoegazer pedal, but I don't really stare at it too much.

OH SHIT SOMETHING I CARE ABOUT... Um simple answer is Guitar Tremolo and Amp Reverb... Long answer is every pedal I plug in... Delays and Fuzz... El Cap, Univox Tape Echo, TC Flashback, Danelectro Reel Echo, and Pharaoh, Great Wall, Jero Muff's, Snowdrift, Chalice, whateves... All about how you play really... Swirlies to Slowdive it's all about that feel...

Hmmmm my personal fav is the EQD Ghost Disaster....
pretty much any reverb + delay is gonna bring da gaze.... RV-5, RV-2, El Capistan, Timeline, Eventide Space, Verbzilla (in shimmer mode)
Hmm i wonder what a board would sound like with all of those pedals on it + an OCD v.2 ..... You'd probably never be able to lift your head again......

This right here. Shoegaze in a box. Add a smidge of verb (or a shit-ton of verb) after, and you're done.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Juke Coda reverb and vib/trem.....lots of subtleties......this amp has a great reverb and vib/trem + Drasp DL4 + whatever combination of overdrive and fuzz I have available with sometimes fairly extreme adjustment of the tone controls.

I don't think shoegaze has all that much to do with which fuzz (though it is pretty helpful for it to have a healthy range with the tone controls) but more to do with what you do with your reverb, delay, and modulation.

for the stupid washed out noise sounds, i have to go with a big muff. it fills a lot of space, isn't that clear and is very, idk, when i play big fat stupid chords, i just think of that sounds
don't know why i keep saying stupid

I'm really impressed by that pedal and how it seems to get so many dirt and modulation/warp sounds like on old Medicine. Gotta get one.
All depends on your idea of gaze. For me fuzzy dirt is at something like coequal to the other components. And I put a pretty high premium on tremolo as a defining sound on the palette.
