sooo i just got a p90 for the bridge in my jazzy so i ripped out the bridge pickup soldered it up put it back together works fine in the bridge sounds great as is the neck pickup but in the middle theres like a huge bass cut and sounds tinny as hell and just not right obviously
i think i may have wired it out of phase? but i just soldered it how i normally would in the same place as the old pickup
will switching the wires on the p90 around ( ive got the white to the switch and black to ground ) help?
weirdly my tone control sounds way different like its actually working now
wth happened have i just had it wired totes wrong the entire time
the magnets of the p90 wernt even glued to the pickup and i just glued whichever to any side
according to some website You want them to repel. The orientation of the poles is important too if the guitar has more than one pickup. Do it wrong and your middle position will be out of phase..
and the way i glued them they stuck together
im assuming i can just switch the wires for the magnets to be reversed or am i gonna have to attempt to pry these magnets off GUH

You're gonna have to pry. Sorry! if they're sticking together, the polepieces won't be magnetized properly.
Get that crowbar!
