all right, fuzzers - suggestions!

Post by Zounds Perspex »

I want another fuzz for my board before I ship it off to be assembled all pro-stylee.
The current dirt roundup is Unpleasant Surprise, Honey Bee, RAT, and the fabled, oft-ridiculed KLON.
I'm playing Jazzmasters and Tele Deluxes into blackface Fenders, primarily.
thinking a cool vintage-y fuzz would be radd.
I love the dumb Creepy Fingers Fuzz Nugget and other CF fuzzes I have,
but none of them are quite the tits with my blackface amps.
Suggestions? a Muff, maybe? but WHICH Muff? Box Of War? TFR? Skinpimp Buzzaround? hrrrrrmmmm?
thinking Unpleasant Surprise should take care of my weird beard fuzz needs.
cheers!
Maybe partying will help.

no I have not! I know this is superficial, but I HATE the graphics on the Skinpimp pedals. Custom Creepy Fingers might be an option though.

Or, snag a EQD Sound Shank! They're pretty cheap too. OR, Ghost effects does amazing stuff, for not too much.

Ghost Buzzaround comes highly recommended, or if you want a Buzzaround but a bit more gnarly Ian's Dizzy Tone is the shit!

It sounds like a kick in the nuts ... but in a good way.

I have a groovy MKI, but again - don't dig it so much with my blackface Fender amps. Sounds incredible with my V4 or Electric head, though.

of course! right now the plan is

Box of War or....?
Unpleasant Surprise
HBOD
RAT
Klon
Moogerfooger Ring Mod with expression pedal
Whetstone
Turbo tuner
DMM
El Cap
Lo fi Loop Junky

with a nice I/O buffer plus a looper for the Ring Mod. should be radd!
I would do it myself, but I SUCK! at wiring boards neatly and with minimal extra noise.
