Do you use a regular one? I saw a mod that attaches 2 wooden 'wings' to the sides and makes it sit nicely, but it still doesn't solve the power problem with the heavier strings. :grumpy:

Bass players are supposed to stick to the root and help load in gear.
Leave them woop de swoopin' skreedlin' boxes 'n magic wands to the gi-tars.

I do. I hold it different then you are suppose to though: I hold it in my palm with my thumb going though the C/center part, the hard part it not having it line up but string distance the "kill zone" is a little small for bass so you really have to have your ebow in a rather fixed position.

Here is a example of bass/ebow/slide

ugh. i've had a really shitty last few days in terms of workload, being exhausted. also my roommate split up our rooms and was determined to ask me to do it the other day at 9 when i was just settling in for early bed. so i had to stay up like four extra hours trying to get my shit together. kind of sucked. splitting the rooms is no problem because our schedules are so different this semester and we don't sleep at similar times. but yeah, so i have the back room so i have been smoking back here (with her permission!) and i wake up from a nap and she's written me a note saying it bothers her asthma. dude, we were awake during the same times together with the door open for like an hour. she prefaced the note with 'don't think i'm being passive aggressive, but you're taking a nap' but like, she could've came and talked to me about it first! in like, person! sigh. we're not sharing a room anymore so like, deal with it bro. i towel the door and open the window. PLUS THIS USED TO BE A SMOKING DORM. if i have to deal with tiptoeing around you just to piss at night you can turn on the fan. plus i've smoked in the room a lot without even asking her and she's never said anything. i care about her being comfortable here and shit but at the same time, srsly? i would consider applying for a single if this room wasn't so fucking enormous.

fuck you fbi. i buy all the tv shows when they come out on blu ray. not anymore.

Anything affiliated with megaupload was in violation of DCMA by not removing copyrighted materials as they became aware of them. In fact, megaupload is under suspicion for paying uploaders who uploaded copyrighted content. They were shut down under US law because they had a server farm in the US (Texas or Nevada, I think).

They broke the law, even though they had a solid workabout. And the owner of the company was a fucking scum bag who was known for gaming markets and fraud. I'm aware that a lot of people lost personal data, but the company should be paying for the repercussions of that, not the US government.

Don't get me wrong, I think that intellectual property rights and copyright law needs to be seriously revised. I also believe that record labels really need to look at the way that they're running their businesses. I'm just sick of the "government is bad, they shut down megauploads" circlejerk I've been seeing everywhere.

just found out my band's farewell show has been double booked.

it basically becomes a question of who booked it first, and i'm scared my band may not have won that argument.

i'm just really angry about it.
