They do one sound but it's quite a nice sound. Quite cool breakup at low volumes, I bet if you pushed it with a boost of some kind it would sound awesome, the tone control isn't really that great and the 6" speaker is kinda crappy and boxy sounding. For the price it's a cool practice/recording amp, but only if you have other proper amps.

Well, it's been modded to have a Jensen MOD speaker, PreAmp tube upgraded to a JJ ECC83S and a Tung-Sol 6V6GT power tube.

Re: Fender Champion 600
I really like mine, you do have to push them a bit to get them to break up but I like my cleans so that's fine with me. Obviously it's going to sound a bit boxy but there's an external speaker jack inside if that's a problem (although God forbid should you actually need to get at this jack to plug something in because it's about as accessible as the Queen's underwear drawer - I think they mounted the jack in a vice then built the rest of the amp around it). When I play electric in my duo it's a Godsend because lugging a 50-watter around seems a bit excessive...

I played one in the store, and I didn't like it. It felt too sterile. It never had that Fender clean punch that i expect from tube amps.

Great amp...you have to put it though an extension cab though. I run mine through an old bass cab, great for clean math rock noodling.

Is there a speaker out, or do you have to mod it?

It's in there, but as _r_ pointed out it's fairly well hidden.

... it sounded boxy and weak for my style of playing.
