Any of you guys ever played bass through a Marshall Super Lead or Super Bass? I know that Lemmy does, but I'm curious how any of us mortals like it. The reason I ask is that I have a lead on a Bugera 1960 for pretty damn cheapz, and these things are supposed to be a pretty damn close clone of a 1959 Super Lead (which I know is easily mod-able to a Super Bass). I'm really just looking to make sure that no one says "Don't be a jackass, that will sound awful", otherwise I'm probably gonna do it.

Yeah I know, that's kinda the standard knock. But I seem to be more Behringer-tolerant than most other peeps on the boards. I have a few Behringer pedals, and none of them have ever broken or anything on me, and two of them have actually won A/Bs I've done against the pedal that they were copying. So that doesn't dissuade me as much as it will to most other people.

I went through I rough spot and had a Behringer head for a bit. It got me through and didn't sound bad. I gigged with it a few times. It didn't stay too long but it did the trick. I have seen some Behringer stuff break pretty easily too. It is a total crap shoot with them.

LULZ. Your "tough spot" is like the most I could ever consider dropping on an amp. Oh well, thanks for the warning man.

I spend too much money on gear for playing out a couple of times a month...
I know we are talking about bass amps but I did just score a 1974 Traynor 50 watt tube head for guitar. It has been modded for an extra gain channel(3 channels). I am excited!

yeah i have a behringer head for my bass and it cranks it OUT. barely had it at 2 and it knocked over a sculpture i had set up about 20 feet away. and the controls are nice.

built in clean octave is p rad, but its quite obviously made for bass because anything past the lowest 4 strings on a guitar BARELY gets the octave if at all.
,':{I> ... your move, Trebek.

DO IT. i'm going to practice tomorrow night to try out the other bass dooder's head (waiting on a Go For It permission text response). interesssssssssssted in fuzzy's against each other.

i was just going to set up 2 12's with my normal ss poweramp and 2 12's with his head, use an a/b box (i think i have an EHX Switchblade laying around here somewhere) to go out the pedalboard into each setup.

sigh. might need to buy a big toobie. durn it.
