i so totally wish i could come over for a visit and hang out with you.

i've been feeling like that lately too...i'm rather unsettled and blue overall, but there are absolutely great moments or periods within that unsettled-ness. i woke early today, but it was so pleasant lying in bed with my cat next to me that i spent a couple of hours half-waking and then drifting back to sleep until my roommate got up and started making coffee. and every time i get the 000 out and play it it makes me as happy as a child on Christmas morning. but i'm really nervous because i still can't find work and it's been well over a year, and this shit is really starting to fray my remaining nerve.

Damn,...I didn't realize they had stuff for "regular" piercings. Something for everyone from those guys. I like that they try to do everything in house.

FWIW...I ordered these:

http://www.omericaorganic.com/plug-CONC ... -%20WO.php

http://www.omericaorganic.com/plug-CONC ... -%20CH.php

I had the Chechen Concaves before,...but I abused them but letting them by letting them get wet. The pores opened up attracting dirt and they just became too uncomfortable to wear. Eventually the dog found them on the bedside table and chewed them up.

I want to start a collection since I'm at the final size that I'm at and it would be nice to have a little variety.

I just really want to get these Acrylic Uncomfortable Ear Butter creators out of my lobes.

i didn't bring my acoustic guitar back to school cuz it wouldn't fit in the car and it seemed kind of excessive to have two guitars and a bass BUT NOW I WISH I HAD IT. WHEN YOU'VE GOT A PREPARED ACOUSTIC ITCH NO AMOUNT OF ELECTRIC GUITAR CAN SCRATCH IT. KILL ME.

i've got too many fucking things to work on. i have a half-dozen songs i need to write lyrics for, i've totally let my one-man looping project slide since Dan got here, there's the version of "Beauty and the Beast" i'm doing for the ILF Bowie covers compilation, i need to work up my pedal steel playing and keyboard playing, and then once Dan gets the cast off his wrist next week we're gonna want to be jamming and working shit up. God help me when i find a job...i'm not going to have time to SLEEP.

Is your looping project using a pedal? I've been wanting to do a looping project, but i don't have an inexpensive way of doing it.

Also, you guys have me thinking about gauging my ears now.

two loopers--well, a Head Rush and a Flashback i use for a looper because it has more loop time than the Akai--and a stereo volume pedal to cross-fade. both are also useful for delay stuff, the Flashback in particular.

Beh. Looping pedals are so expensive. Maybe after I get this amp and finish my chain *sigh*

Also, apparently you need to wait 6 months after a fresh piercing, and I only have my left ear pierced now. I don't think I'd want to pierce my ear with a regular stud for that long. :\

Just ordered the white ones! Have been looking for another pair of wood earrings ever since I lost mine at a Say Anything Concert, and these are way cooler than the ones I had!

how do you lose your earrings at a concert? dance so frenetically that they fall out? i'm not trying to be a dick, i'm curious, having never worn anything in my ears other than sound protection or wax.

Probably the wrong thread, but whatever.

I have crazy anxiety at night. I'm constantly afraid of being watched, and of being taken out of my room. To the point where some nights, I won't sleep at all. It gets especially bad whenever I talk to someone during the day about aliens or conspiracies. Consistently, that night I'm unable to sleep, and constantly checking windows and doorways. Today I had a conversation about paranormal shit with a couple friends, and now I'm freaking out.

It's just a mild paranoia tonight, but I've been having weird things happen that wake me up recently, so it's getting worse the longer I think about it. And I'm alone at home again, because my roommate's never here. I hate this. I wish I lived with my girlfriend, because I almost never get like this when other people are around (although, I had it in my first apartment, and with my parents, but a lot of weird shit happened at my parent's place) (and not that that's the only reason I've been trying to get her to move in with me, obviously). I think I need to live in a windowless room with one door in the middle of an apartment complex, because I've never slept better than when I was in my ex-friend's guest room for a few months.

I missed a councilor appointment last week because I slept in, and I needed to bring up that the sleeplessness has been getting worse. I'm probably going to have to pay for that appointment without my insurance covering it, too. That's going to suck dick.

I have to work at 11, so I need to be up by 9 to get the bus at 10. It's 2 now. I guess tomorrow's going to be an energy drink day.

it sounds like you've got some degree of anxiety-disorder thing going on. don't take that as a negative statement, just a word symbol for what you're experiencing. there are ways you can combat this on your own. one way to start is by taking some deep breaths, consciously slowing down the pace of your racing thoughts, and remembering that all the stuff about aliens, conspiracies, and paranormal stuff is just notional...it's only stuff that A FEW people think MIGHT BE PLAUSIBLE. i used to get terrified by possible end-of-the-world scenarios the same way; i eventually stopped reading about them because it just made me unhappy, and there wasn't anything i could do about an asteroid or a solar flare any-fucking-way. you know? you're where you are; things are all right. and the chances are better than even that the shit ISN'T going to hit the fan while you're resting. trust me on this...i've been worrying about these things for over a quarter of a century. it'll be all right in the end. get some sleep.
