I'd go for the NIN. Too bad I missed them on their last tour.

The show was killer. Trent's band was really on point. No big light show or film clips. It was all about the music last night...and it all seemed inspired. When they ended with "Hurt", it got so quiet, it was eerie. There was the odd scream here and there, but all the chatter stopped. The crowd was hypnotized.

Jane's Addiction (OG lineup) was great too. The instrumentalists never sounded so good. Perry never sounded so....high. His singing was really out there. He was changing up the melodies, and at some points he was on Mars. You'd think he was changing the melodies to avoid singing the high parts he might have trouble with now.....but then a moment later he would belt out a high part perfectly just like the record. He looked high as a kite (close-ups on the jumbotron). And he kept talking about getting high. His between-song banter was worth the price of admission.

I recommend catching this tour if you dig eithe of these bands.

BTW, Tom Morello's new band (w/ Boots from The Coup) opened the show. Un-inspired rap/rock. Like week old bread. IMO.
