Not really. Mine is pretty fuzzy all the time, not the greatest for clean octaves honestly.....

Holy Schnikes wrote:Agreed the MicroPog ain't that great. Sounds were pretty good but that buffer is a god awful tone destroyer! The POG or POG2 are the only way to go if you're looking at that line of pedals.

The Second Voice rulez pretty hard (never tried a V2 with exp and CV btw) but it's probably the loudest pedal I've ever owned and definitely leans towards the gnarly, nasty, synthy side of things. It would make for some cool solos but I wouldn't buy it for that reason alone. It's not gonna add just a touch of "flavor". Instead it will blast the shit out of everything with unquestioned authority!

I run mine fairly early for improved tracking and it sounds fuckin' aggressive in instrument or fuzz mode really. It will stack but it's not necessary, thing has plenty o' balls! The range is nice, taking things from brutally piercing to synth bass fuzz territory. Don't really use the clean blend, don't like that sound honestly.

you totally just helped me make up my mind on those two.

I could probably very easily put a Micro POG in a true bypass loop... I've got two of them, and it would be going in a loop anyway; the problem is that it would have to go before my RAT in the loop (as my "solo" channel). So I'd have to put a TB loop in the loop.

SpaceFlunky... what happened to your Creepy Fingers Tone Machine? Can you PM me how much it cost you?

I gotta give the Upper more of a fair shake this time around when I get one... didn't give it a chance to be rocked live, and I didn't have my IC Muff at the time either.

Otherwise the Foxx Tone Machine is probably what I need.

Always thought there were very few choices for octave up... now I'm inundated!

Thanks for the input, doobersteins!

THIS. There are internal controls for octave-up tone and drive, plus two modes - a cleaner one and a Octavia-type one - so you can get a lot of different sounds. It plays well with fuzzes and other dirt pedals and can introduce a good bit of fuzz by itself, depending on how you set it.

Octron is the one pedal (other than tuner) that never leaves my board. I haven't tried the Second Voice yet, but I wanna.

Ok, cool! That does provide a lot of options. So it's not really a fuzzbox, or is it? The octave up is "fuzz", or is it like a clean thing that adds octave up? Is it more of an "alone" pedal or what?

The Octron is clean as a whistle tone-wise. Sounds really nice to my ears. Dustin Wong does some amazing stuff with that pedal. Also, shot you a PM re: SpaceFlunky's former CF FTM (which is now in my fuzz stash... :) )

I have the Octron, it's cool.
But I wish the octave down would track better and have more volume.
Octave up is very good... especially the ringmodish one (I think it's mode A).

Dang dudes... I think the Octron might have it. Looks like a lot of different fun options.

So the damn thing stacks well, correct? My RAT isn't the stackiest pedal in the world, but it would be integral that it worked with my RAT.

Gonna try one of those out for sure. Thanks for recommending a pedal about which I had no idea!

I don't imagine it would track very well with the RAT in front of it (obviously) but I'd imagine it'd be bangin' with the RAT after it!

EDIT : Come to think of it, I have actually had decent luck with fuzz before a Boss Super Shifter, so actually maybe the Octron would track OK with the RAT in front.

Sick Octron octave up action from Dustin Wong at 1:49 here:
