Boss DD-20?

Post by nieh »

Someone offered me a Boss Giga Delay DD-20 and a tap tempo and 1 spot for a drumset I have listed on craigslist. I watched the ProGuitarShop video and it sounded really cool. (the warp and twist modes were very appealing, as I use the self oscillation and exp. pedal on my memory boy a lot.) So, I was wondering if any of you have had any experience with it?

Great pedal, very versatil, 4 presets.
Its been on my pedal board for years and not planning to replace it for another "flavor of the month" delay..

Yup, I have a DD-20 on my covers band board, and it really is a great pedal. The analog sim is pretty good, the dual delay mode can be cool, it has a tone knob for the repeats (which I wish more delays had) and between the 4 presets and the knobs settings on the front, you can switch between 5 different sounds. The modulation is a little bit meh. The only mode I really haven't used is the looper, so I have no opinion on that one.

It's a nice delay. I have one, but I certainly wouldn't have taken it in trade for a drum set. I can only presume you're thinking of trading a K-mart made-in-Vietnam 2-piece crapola-oatmeal-tube-special?

DD-20s are great sounding pedals!
I can't really jive with the controls on mine though.
BOSS stuff is confusing to me.

i love my DD20

i have used the sound on sound feature. it takes a bit getting used to, but it's a lovely thing!

i mainly use the warp/twist functions, and it's the reason the pedal has stayed on my board all these years... it's extremely versatile!
