So I did actually board this up, but I had issues. Grabbed it again last night...The switch does nothing, and the mix knob works more like a conjoined vol/tone with no octave. Used 2n4401 instead of the 5089s cause I didn't have any. The pedal works as a heavy bass friendly fuzz, but nothing else. I'll keep messing with it. Maybe the gain isn't high enough with the 4401s? most were around 200 hfe.

Yeah, I think you need more gain to make the flip-flop do it's thang.
