Check out that terrodactyl beast over at fuzzrocious....it has a expression option too. Could put you into some weird territory...

EHX Tube Zipper is a great one, and they can be pretty cheap on the used market. It's technically and envelope follower if that matters.

I had a Bass Microsynth and really loved it although I didn't completely 'get it' at the time. The fuzz on it alone is superb and I miss it still, but I traded that one pedal away for a Q-Tron+, Micropog and Graphic Fuzz, so I kinda had to take the deal. The micropog and graph fuzz are long gone but I'll never want to be with out the Q-Tron+. It's usually on whether I'm playing bass (usually) or guitar and I'm very comfortable with how my playing affects the sweep. It's the big box so it's easy to tweak with my feet.

By the way I run all my fuzz before the Q+ and that's part of the appeal. The ABSynth in osc mod gives me a killer "Army of Me" synth bass sound through it.
