Re: Anyone have any planned purchases for 2012?
listen to the Ritual.
lol. i'm lucky with basses. i've played a sixer for a hinute so i never got into any weird tunings. i just want one good ass bass. and i love what's i got. i'll eventually get a second Dinger, but it's just gonna be the same thing i have now in a different color scheme. backup and shit.
it IS hella fun to roll a four sided die for each string for how many steps out of normal tuning they'll be then jam out some stuff. i've found some weird melodies by having my fingers do the same boring stuff they're used to and hitting totally different notes.
two dice rolls. one for how many steps, one for up or down (odd or even). i'm a NERD.
it's like getting down touchy feely hand style with a mid-op transgender Thai Lady Boy. you know what your hands are S'POSED to be doing down thar, but... it's just a bit.... different.

After seeing a cool demo by someone here (can't remember who!) I definitely need an Upper.
Need to save money this year for big holiday plans.

I'd really like a new Jag or maybe a Mustang but stupid life keeps getting in the way of guitars. Stupid life

I think I've figured out this year is going to be the year of the Wide Range Humbucker for ol' Zounds Perspex.
I'm still getting that Vintage Sound Super Reverb clone, but other than that I just want lots of radd guits with WRHBs.
another Tele Deluxe RI or two, a real-deal Tele Deluxe, and I have an idea for a custom offset with WRHBs that's gonna be tits.
WRHB for lyfe aiii!

I never payed much attention to the Fuck overdrive, and I wasn't planning on buying any new pedals anytime soon, but I've been on here WAY too much lately and now I'm GASssing for one so bad I'm thinking about completely overhauling my board.

Re: Anyone have any planned purchases for 2012?
i already managed to get my big lust object, which is a Eastman 000-sized acoustic with a mahogany body and Engelmann spruce top that i just paid off and should ship shortly. assuming that i find a job, the main things i want to spend on this year are one of the little Gretsch Catalina Jazz drum kits and getting my silverface Twin Reverb and my 1968 ES-335 with the broken neck fixed. if i was rolling in embarrassing amounts of dollars, i'd buy a Gretsch archtop with FilterTrons, either a White Falcon or a 1958 Country Gentleman RI. i totally have the hots for the revised Randy's Revenge. i also have interest in the Wren & Cuff Tall Font Russian and the Black Forest, and could stand a more tweakable looper. and if the band thing starts happening i may need to set up a smaller board that's less complicated than my current twin-board + rack w/MIDI controller Steve Howe Array O' Doom.

also, i need a Pigtronix Keymaster to use as an A/B/Y output box for my looping system so i can run a direct out to the soundboard; that way i can optimize my marketability as a solo opening act by using my small amp as a personal monitor and giving the soundman a direct out to the PA, allowing for minimal soundcheck.

A Faye Sing, some short of flanger, a boss sp-303 and I'd like to throw together some sort of Frankenstein offset deal...looking for parts as I type this. Maybe a soapbar pickup and death ray phaser if I'm feeling frisky

No specific plans, but I'm looking forward to EHX's newest offerings. Really hoping for a polyphonic, programmable Micro Synth (or better).
